Dear Patients,

As the world continues to grapple with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our patients and staff remain our top priority. Our medical practice is fully committed to following the guidelines and regulations set forth by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In accordance with local regulations, we are taking the following measures to ensure the safety of all who enter our practice:

Screening:

All patients and staff will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival. This include answering questions about symptoms, their recent travel and exposure to COVID-19. Anyone who is displaying symptoms or has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 will be rescheduled for a future appointment or offered a telemedicine appointmen instead of an in-person appointment.

Masks:

All staff are required to wear masks, and patients are required to wear masks while in the waiting room area. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you.

Physical Distancing:

We have rearranged our waiting area and exam rooms to allow for 6 feet of physical distancing between individuals. We ask that you please follow any signage or instructions from our staff regarding where to stand or sit.

Hand Hygiene:

Hand sanitizer is readily available throughout the practice for use by patients and staff. We encourage everyone to frequently wash their hands or use hand sanitizer to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory infections.

Cleaning:

We maintain our cleaning and disinfecting protocols to ensure that all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between patients.

Telemedicine:

We are offering telemedicine appointments for those who prefer not to come in to the practice in person. These appointments can be conducted through video or phone call, and are a convenient and safe alternative to in-person visits.

We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has created a great deal of uncertainty and concern, and we are doing what we can to keep our patients and staff safe. If you have any questions or concerns about our COVID-19 policy, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Sincerely,

Lumos Dermatology®
